Accessibility

Last reviewed: September 2026

We want Acronomicon to be playable by as many people as possible, including players who use screen readers, keyboards, or other assistive technology. This page explains the standard we aim for, what still needs work, and how to tell us about a barrier.

The standard we aim for

The Acronomicon web player targets WCAG 2.2 level AA. In practice that means: every control is reachable and operable by keyboard with a visible focus indicator; form fields have real labels; text meets contrast minimums; images have appropriate alternative text or are hidden from assistive technology when decorative; phase changes, the round's letters, and results are announced through a live region; focus moves with the screen and is trapped inside dialogs; and motion is reduced when your device asks for it.

Known gaps

We are honest about where we are still working:

What we don't do

We do not use accessibility overlay widgets or third-party "compliance" scripts. We fix the underlying markup instead.

Reporting a barrier

If something gets in your way, email us at hello@acronomicon.com and describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you were using. We read every report and will do our best to respond within 30 days.
